Welcome! The objective of this blog is to provide both students and teachers resources for acquiring English. Let's have FUN and bridge the communication gap.
Bridgett, one of the tools that I think is useful to use in the classroom is blogs. Blogs provide a forum for discussion that goes beyond the course.
How do you think the class blog has helped us reach out beyond our course? What do you know now that you didn't know before starting your blog and using it in our class?
You have some good stuff on your blog, but I would sure like to see more. I know that you have a lot to share with your students, and I also know you're already "jazzed" about this new technology. How about posting more to your blog? It does take an effort to add one more thing to our busy lives, but I know that it will be worth it in the end in outcomes for our students.
I'm a seasoned veteran in the field of ESOL. I began my teaching career in Haiti teaching adult learners and being thrust into a language learning experience of acquiring Creole. I had to bargain for food and navigate my way around the busy streets of Port-au-Prince. My next stop was Barcelona,Spain. I have continued to teach English to adult learners from many countries and in the process learn their language and customs. What a great adventure it has been.
